About Uncle Charlie
Uncle Charlie has been one of America's premier kids worship leaders for over a decade. He toured across the U.S and abroad from 1997 to 2012 leading kids worhip in concert venues, retreat settings and summer kids camps across the country. For 4 years Charlie traveled to Uganda, East Africa to lead kids worship for over 1000 orphan children under the care of Watoto Chicldcare Ministries. That's where he was given his stage name "Uncle Charlie", a term used by Ugandan children in to address all adults.
Charlie traveled and performed with his praise team, which at one time or another included Rachel Sanchez Currier, HannaLee Carter Duffey, Laura Ann Warren Whetzel, Katie Singer Dooney, Maegan Bruce, Jagee Melton, Callie Aultman, and Calli May.
Uncle Charlie also spent much of traveling career leading kids worship for ministry groups such as Salvation Army, Special Touch Ministries (Special Needs), Hope4Refugees, and various inner city missions.
Charlie also was full time kids worship leader at The Crossing Church in Brandon Florida from 2010-2011 while recovering from a near fatal accient, until he was able to tour full time again.
UC retired from touring in 2012, but still stays active in kids worship ministry by offering a variety kids worship tools for kids ministry and music CD's for families. UC's 15 years of experience on the road has made him one of the nation's leaders in relating to and reaching kids of all ages. Charlie is now passing on that experience by making his songs and kids worship coaching available to children's ministries all over the world!
